Omniflex Announces New Line
of Ether-Amide Films

GREENFIELD , Massachusetts USA - Omniflex, Inc., of Greenfield , Massachusetts , announces the introduction of its new TX4000 line of Transport® brand, ether-amide-based, waterproof-breathable films. The physical properties of these new films make them ideally suited for applications requiring excellent chemical resistance, low static and high temperature resistance. Their ability to be sterilized using ETO or gamma methods prior to use, as well as provide maximum comfort and a complete viral barrier during use, are extremely important to producers of medical garments, drapes and wound dressings. The high MVT (moisture-vapor transmission) rate, excellent stretch and recovery, good hand and quietness also make these films well-suited for use in high-performance athletic and outdoor apparel, footwear and textile lamination applications.

TX4000 Series Ether-Amide Films join the company's Transport-brand family of waterproof-breathable barrier films, including TX1500 Polyurethane Films and TX2000 Copolyester Films.

Standard Transport-brand, TX4000 Series Ether-Amide Films are available, often from stock, in thicknesses ranging from 0.2 to 2 mils, cast on polyethylene, polyester or paper carriers, and in widths up to 68 inches. Available options include custom formulations, slip, color or surface characteristics. Additive packages may also be specified, including flame resistance, UV resistance, antibacterial, antifungal, antistatic, lubricant and antiblock.

Since 1994, Omniflex has been a leader in the manufacture of super-thin, high-performance films from thermoplastic polyurethane and other difficult-to-extrude specialty polymers for use in critical medical, automotive, apparel and industrial applications using blown-film, cast-on-carrier and flat-die extrusion technologies. The company markets these films under the Transport® and Vacuflex® brand names. Also the authorized global sales agent for DuPont Active Layer technology, Omniflex markets world wide to textile laminators, adhesive coaters and converters, the specialty films market and selected OEMs. In addition to a reputation for superior quality, Omniflex has the organization, relationships and expertise to navigate the most complex global supply chains.
