GREENFIELD , MASSACHUSETTS - Omniflex LLC, of Greenfield , Massachusetts , announces the release of two new application bulletins. They are intended for users and specifiers of very thin waterproof-breathable films in textile lamination, apparel and medical applications.

The first bulletin features Omniflex's Transport®-brand Waterproof-Breathable Barrier Films for use in rugged performance apparel, gloves & footwear. It highlights the available product options, explains how Transport brand films work to keep the user dry and comfortable, and includes a physical properties table for the three lines of film offered.

The second bulletin features Omniflex's Transport-brand Waterproof Breathable Barrier Films for Medical Applications. It explains how they provide a cost-effective liquid and viral barrier, successful applications, approvals, product options, and a physical properties table for the three polymer film types available: polyurethane, copolyester and ether-amide.

Omniflex produces these films using flat-die cast-on-carrier extrusion technology in thicknesses ranging from 0.2 to 6.0 mils, widths up to 68 inches, in a variety of surface finishes and, depending upon thickness, paper, polyester or polyethylene carriers for ease of handling and protection of the film during secondary fabrication operations.
